Sharing this adorable card today I made using this sweet bear image. Because of his shape I knew he would fit perfectly onto a round card frame.
I started with the largest circle die on a piece of Neenah solar white 120lb card stock scored and folded in half. I slightly overhung the top portion of the die over the cardstock then ran through my die cutting machine 4 times to make sure it cut through both layers. I then stamped a series of stars in blue ink for a background. Some of the stars I coloured in using a gold gelly roll pen.
I used a smaller plain circle die to cut the inner circle which I then blended distress oxide ink in the the colours tumbled glass and mermaid lagoon. Once dry I stamped the sentiment and a series of stars with versamark ink and heat embossed in white. I used a gelly roll pen to fill in the stars and a white gelly roll to add some dots in the background. The bear was coloured with copics and propped up on foam tape to a scallop die cut. I drew dots with a black gelly roll pen around the edge of the scallop for more interest. The card face (with the sentiment) was propped up on the base with foam tape.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope this inspires you to make one of your own.
