Loving these beautiful Crocus flowers from Technique Tuesday. These beauties were from the January Greenhouse Release. Today Im sharing two cards I made from this release.

Technique Tuesday

The miss you card was created on a stencilled panel added on top of a white card base. A simple white strip was added down the side with the crocus placed on top with foam tape. The Miss you sentiment was cut from Kraft Card Stock.

The other card was made with a large scalloped rectangle with a smaller stencilled one placed on top and added to a white card base. Another scalloped rectangle was added on a diagonal with the crocus placed inside. I die cut the Thank you after blending some soft pink ink and glued off to the side.

Rubbernecker Blog Hop

Yay, It’s Friday and double Yay because there is an awesome Instagram Hop going on today from Rubbernecker Stamps showcasing all the fun new spring inspired stamp sets that were just released. For a little more excitement there is also going to be 20$ Gift Certificates for 5 lucky winners. For my card on the hop today I used this adorable new easter set called “bunnies”

I tried to create a forest/garden type background on my slimline card by stamping a floral stamp in green ink on a white card stock panel, adding it to the top of a striped green panel and adding lots of vine and flower die cuts. The bunny images and basket were coloured in copics and added to the card with liquid glue, the ones towards the bottom were attached with foam tape for lots of dimension.

Technique Tuesday February Animal House Release

This month Technique Tuesdays animal house release is full of Koala cuteness. I have two cards I’m sharing today using these Australian cuties.

Technique Tuesday

Both cards were started with stencilled leafy patterns on white card stock. I kept the colour palette the same for both in soft organic greens using bundled sage oxide inks. One was placed on a green panel, a sentiment trimmed down to fit the card and mom and baby placed off to the side of a leafy wreath.

The other card was made very similar with a wreath centre. I used the new wrapped bouquet and trimmed off the bottom portion and kept the foliage. I tucked the single Koala behind and placed some falling leaves around the card. I added a fussy cut sentiment off to the side to complete my card.

Thanks for stopping by, Im absolutely loving this release from Technique Tuesdays greenhouse society. This month is a gorgeous wrapped bouquet stamp. Im sharing two cards today using this beauty.

Technique Tuesday

For both cards I started with stencilled background panel. The one in orange I glued small little paper hearts following the stencilled pattern. I wrapped a small strip of vellum with a sentiment heat embossed in orange towards the bottom. I added the wrapped bouquet to the card front to complete the card.

The other card was completed with a scalloped rectangle wrapped in twine with a small die cut heart hanging off the twine. I used the die cut word “friend” to complete the card.

To Make This Card

  • Die cut from white card stock 2nd largest rectangle slimline, large scallop slimline, clouds, slimline clouds and nested circles.
  • Reverse the slimline cloud die and cut the opposite side of the slimline cloud die cut to create a large long cloud.  Cut sections from this to line up with the star panel.
  • On the rectangle slimline stamp the stars background stamp with color fuse ink.
  • Blend color fuse ink on all clouds.
  • Stamp sentiment with Color Fuse Ink on circles and attach with foam tape.
  • Colour and die cut images.
  • Attach twine and images using glue and foam tape.

Stitched Sun and Clouds Die

To make this card. I used the new sparkle and shine paper pack as my background for my card. Where the paper ended on the slimline layer I wrapped some twine around and taped the ends to the back. Stitched clouds and rainbows were added to the panel. Some were glued flat and some with dimensional tape placed behind. I die cut the new sundae bowl out of vellum and positioned the unicorn, banana and spoon inside. I popped the ice-cream cone behind the sundae bowl and added the new you are sweet die cut above.

For Day 2 of release week at La-La Land Crafts I have the sweet Luka on a A2 size card. Lots of layers and bright bold colours make up this fun masculine birthday card.

Double Stitched Rectangles Die

To make this card I added 2 background layers. The first one was a panel cut from one of the new paper packs with a stencilled stitched rectangle placed over top. The gift bag was added with some bright orange paper shred to match Luka’s shirt. I snuck a couple balloons behind Luka and one of the new birthday candles beside him. This card was super easy to create and for masculine cards being a challenge for me I was happy with how it turned out.

Hummingbirds

I’m so excited about this months anima house release from Technique Tuesday. There is 2 gorgeous hummingbirds and a beautiful flower along with some lovely sentiments in this set! I was so excited to get the chance to play with them.

I have two cards I’m sharing today.

The hummingbirds were coloured in copics and die cut using the matching die.

I did some simple layering using some background die cuts keeping both cards with subtle backgrounds to focus on the pretty hummingbirds! (My favourite is the one with the pretty tail)

The green card was blended in oxide inks in the colours mowed lawn and twisted Citron and once dry I stamped the pretty flower around the panel and heat embossed in white. A small scalloped Rectangle was added to the center with a stencil pattern in clear glitter on it (hard to see in photos)

I finished the card with a heart die cut with the sentiment stamped in the center and attached it with foam tape as well as the hummingbirds.

The other card I did some stamping on a stitched rectangle panel with the flower stamp in the set and used pencil crayons to colour the flowers in. I die cut a heart from the centre and backed it with a lattice type panel. A sentiment was stamped on top and everything was attached to a white card base and pink panel.
