Technique Tuesday and WOW Hop

Hooray! It’s Day 2 of Technique Tuesday and WOW! Embossing Powder blog hop and I’m your next stop. You will be coming to me from Yasmin Diaz and your next stop will be Lisa Spangler  (Towards the bottom of this post I’ve listed the full list of designers) There was so much incredible inspiration and talent yesterday with all the designers creations on day 1 and I’m sure for day 2 you will be inspired by the rest of the line up. No hop is complete though without prizes, so let’s get to that part!

WOW! Embossing powders has 6 powders of your choosing along with a WOW carry case to store your powders.

Technique Tuesday is giving away 2 x 20$ gift certificate from their store.

Winners will be chosen at random from the comments left on all the posts on both days. The more comments you leave the more chances you have to win these fabulous prizes.

To join this giveaway you must leave a comment on each blog post. This hop is open internationally.

I’m sharing a few cards I made for this hop using the adorable Simon and Sandy seahorse stamps and matching  Simon and Sandy crafting dies  A Seahorse isn’t complete without embossing powder and LOTS OF IT! glittery, shiny and sparkling! What started as one card quickly became 4 because I was having to much fun playing with sparkles.  Days later and I’m sure there is still flecks in my hair (which I must say is quite pretty in the sun!)

I was all over the map with these embossing powders.   One of the cards I wanted to use one colour and by time I finished I realized I had lost control and used 5.  That shininess is certainly addicting! Some of the colours I played around with for these sweet seahorses were WOW! Spring Breeze, Mint Mojito, Unicorn magic, Under the sea, Golden Flame, Singing in the rain.

  1. The glittery look is just PERFECT for the seahorse, etc. I love to add glitter and embossing to sea scenes.

  2. I love how you used those beautiful colors to the seahorses. Your cards are amazing. Did you color the card then apply the embossing powder??

  3. Oh these are fabolous! Especially the last one, with blue, mint and gold splatters – WOW! And yas, the glitters are definately addictive!

  4. Gorgeous THE SEAHORSE WITH THE BLUE glitter shapes and borders around it are my favorite but they are all lovely. Stunning!

  5. I love the colour(s) you used on the embossed background on your last card with the turquoise seahorse. I would live to know how you created that effect.

    1. Oh thank you! 😊 I used a Versamark pen to draw splatters then heat embossed. Then I would draw more and heat emboss again with the next colour. I hope that makes sense! πŸ˜ŠπŸ’•πŸ’•

  6. OMG, I love those seahorses. So much fun and those sparkly bubbles are super cute. I really love the colors you picked for the 3 seahorses. Gorgeous!
