Streamside Studios

Thanks for stopping by! Sharing a fun slimline card today using the most adorable woodland stamp set from Streamside Studios.

Woodland Friends Stamp Set

Scalloped Frame Die

I started with a slimline card base and layered a scalloped slimline die cut with a cloud pattern stencilled in spun sugar oxide ink. I layered a hills die at the bottom that was coloured with mowed lawn oxide ink.

I coloured the large tree stamp in copics and glued off to the side of my card. I ran it through the cutting machine before gluing down with the scalloped frame die to line it up to the scalloped panel I was gluing it to.

A few grass patches and some falling leaves were added to the card as well as a heat embossed sentiment.

I used the tire swing in the stamp set and added die cut leaves to it to create a pretty leafy swing.

I hope you enjoyed my card today!

TECHNIQUE TUESDAY

For both cards I used stencilled backgrounds.

For the hearts I masked off a strip of the card panel and stencilled inside that section. I added some white paint splatters and perfect pearls in a shimmery gold tone over top of the stencilled section. I pulled out a jar of prills in a yellow colour and added to the center of the flower.

The blue card I glued on heart embellishments following the stencil pattern, added a circle die cut to the center of the card for an area to place the sentiment.

Both cards I coloured the anemones and leaves with Copics and attached with foam tape.

La-La Land Crafts New Release Day 2

Thanks for stopping by!, I’m excited to share the card I created for day 2 using the new goodies from La-La Land Crafts.

For day 2 I used the the sweetest Clear Stamp Set called tweet tweet.

To make this card I used the new background stamp on white card stock with spun sugar oxide ink. I attached it on top of a panel inked in tattered rose oxide ink and added it to a white card base. I then added the new Birdhouse Die and a watering can.

For the birdhouse I foiled the trim with gold foil using the minc machine.

I added some flowers and leaves and this sweet little birdie. I finished the card with a sentiment stamped in Versamark black onyx ink and heat embossed in clear.

Here’s an easy to create gift box using one sheet of paper that you can customize with any of your favourite La-La Land Crafts stamps and dies.

Score Lines – 2 3/4″, 5 1/2″, 8 1/4″, 11″
2 3/4″, 5 1/2″
~ now for the tutorial you have been waiting for ~

Start by cutting a 12″ x 12″ sheet of card stock to 8 1/4″ x 11 1/2″.  Score along the 11 1/2″ side at 2 3/4″, 5 1/2″, 8 1/4″, 11″  Score on the 8 1/4″ side at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″

Cut both ends off along the score lines on the 1/2″ side leaving the center section.

Cut along both sides the score lines to the inside score line.  Each side will have 4 flaps once cut.
With the 1/2″ section facing left along the top cut triangles from the second and fourth panel.

Start to fold the panels in on the opposite side of the triangles.  Starting with the first panel beside the 1/2″ section fold in, add glue to the next panel and fold in to the inside of the first panel, continue till all the panels along the side are glued and folded in, always gluing to the inside of the panel before not the outside.

Once the panels are glued you will need to angle the corners on the 1/2″ piece on both sides, add glue and tuck inside.
I reshaped my triangles to skinnier triangles.   It’s up to you the shape you would like them finished at.  Once your shape is finished use a hole punch for a place to tie your ribbon.  You can leave the side square panels to close the box, you can also cut them off or glue and fold inside.  I left mine attached but glued in and used tissue paper so it was more of basket when finished.

Colour and die cut leaves, vines and glue all around the box.

Colour and die cut flowers and other elements and attach to box.  Finish with a ribbon.

We hope that you are inspired to try out your own creation with the amazing stamps and dies from La-La Land Crafts!
