Picket Fence Studios April Release

Sharing some crafty inspiration today using the fun new release at Picket Fence Studios.

Sometimes tea is the only thing

Sequin mix plus – on a cloudy day

Slimline Retro Burst Stencil

I wanted to use vellum instead of acetate for a shaker window but didn’t want to mute out the pretty shaker bits. By adding extra strong liquid glue to the top of the vellum I was able to show the pretty shaker bits without muting them behind vellum.

To attach the ladies I used dimensional tape on the back of the ladies but positioned it around the layer of embellishments to keep the face on the card as level as possible.

You will always be my cup of tea

Picket Fence April Release

It’s a new release over at Picket Fence Studios and I am so excited to be guest designing this month using some of the fabulous crafty items from this release.

I’m sharing two cards today using the graceful Koi stamp set with matching die and some of the fun new embellishment/shakers from the release.

Slimline shaker – MAY THE FUTURE BRING YOU MUCH SUCCESS

Using wild honey oxide ink and the new Slimline Randomness Hexagon Stencil on a trimmed down sheet of white card stock, ink up and add to a white slimline card base.

Create a shaker frame using acetate and fill with the new Sequin Mix Plus Honey Bears and attach on top.

Stamp sentiment in black versa fine onyx black ink, heat emboss in clear and add dimensional tape and attach to shaker frame.

Stamp and die cut graceful Koi and glue in place.

A HAPPY LIFE NEEDS BALANCE

Start with a white card stock panel trimmed down to 4″ x 5 1/4″. Stencil the new Slimline Hexagon Randomness Stencil with patina oxide ink. Stamp the bubbles from the Graceful Koi fish in a soft turquoise on the panel as well.

Stamp and die cut Graceful Koi fish in orange and turquoise and glue on panel. Trim off fish that over hang the panel. Using dimensional tape add another layer of fish and trim off any parts that overhang.

Add sentiment stamped in black and heat embossed in clear on white cardstock and attach to center of card with dimensional tape.

Finish with a few clear gems from the new Wishes embellishments.

Love you slow much

Playing along with the “Seasons”challenge using the newly released Sloffee Stamp Set from Your Next Stamp. We are in the middle of winter and it’s been super cold here. So when the theme came up for seasons I thought this sloth hanging out in a cup of flowers was the season I would like to time travel to right now. I hope you enjoy my take on a season other then winter.

To make this card.

I inked up a white card stock panel with oxide ink in the colours kitsch flamingo and squeezed lemonade. I added on top the flower panel die and tea cup die. I added some polka dots with a white gel pen to the cup as well as a heart background stencilled to the back.

I did some quick colouring on lots of pretty die cut flowers which I glued on top and behind the cup. I finished the card with the sloth glued on top of the cup and a sentiment attached to the middle.

Hammie Sweetness

So excited to be able to share a cute project using some Your Next Stamp goodness. For this card I made a fun circle card using the super cute Hammie Sweetness Overload Stamp Set

To create the card base use a circle die on a folded card base. Leave the top of the circle slightly overhanging above the score line. Run through die cutting machine.

I started by ink blending a panel using distress oxide inks and splattering with picket fence oxide ink.

I used both the Star Circle Frame Die and Circles With Stitching And Piercing Marks Die Set to cut from the ink blended panel.

Next I used a scallop circle die cut in white card stock and glued the large inked circle panel directly on top.

Using a smaller white scalloped circle frame I attached the small Star Circle Frame Die cut directly on top with glue and added to my card base with foam tape to create more dimension.

I coloured and cut hammie and attached him to the card with an action wobbler and glued down popcorn pieces (when he wobbles it’s like he is spilling them)

I finished the card with a sentiment and added the card base to the back of my rainbow stack.

I hope you enjoyed my take on a fun mini circle card.

Your next Stamp New Release

Thanks for stopping by!, I’m so excited to be guest designing this month for Your Next Stamp.

It’s day 3 of previews and I’m featuring the adorable stamp set called Wild birthday.

I started by die cutting the fun new circle dies in this release on a white card panel. On a separate white panel I blended oxide inks in scattered straw, wild honey, and salvaged patina and attached it to the back of my die cut panel. I stamped and coloured the smaller images in the set around my panel.

I added more circle die cuts with bright panels blended in oxide inks behind each one and attached to my card front with foam tape. The characters were added on top of each die cut with foam tape as well. I finished the card with a sentiment added to the bottom.

Be sure to stop by the YNS blog to get all the details on all the giveaways happening during the previews. There is also a fun Instagram hop starting on the 16th where the full release will be revealed and there will prizes available there as well.

Hope everyone is having a great day! Sharing some more cuteness from the March release at Streamside Studios.

(You can find this clear stamp set and other of Shawne’s adorable digital and clear stamp images over on her Etsy page)

I started with a white card panel and blended cracked pistachio and mermaid lagoon for my background. A white gel pen and white shaker stars were added to it. I embossed the planet and sentiment towards the bottom and heat embossed in white.

I then added the aliens and balloons that I covered in liquid glue and covered in glitter. I attached all of them with foam tape for added dimension.

To complete my card I attached my panel to a white card base slightly askew.

I hope you enjoyed my card and these super adorable images.
